As a Lifeguard I, I guard the city pool to recognize any signs of drowning, levels of unconsciousness, and other medical concerns. I have performed six rescues on active victims in emergency situations. As a Lifeguard II, I teach swim classes and water safety to all levels.

I was selected the the pool I lifeguard at to shadow a manager for the summer. As part of the shadowing program I assisted in running and operating the pool before, during, and after the facility was open to patrons. I checked the chemical levels in the pool as well as managed the staff. This included help with rotation scheduling, assisting shift changes, and monitoring employee performance.
