As a former educator working in the advocacy, community organizing, and communications space and 8 years of experience working directly in education, I am most passionate about centering the voices and experiences of youth and educators, and working with communities to directly impact change.I am a San Antonio native who has spent my entire professional career advocating for educational equity at the local, state, and national level. In my day to day, I work to uplift the voices of underrepresented communities through impactful communications, community engagement, and advocacy.I earned my undergraduate degree in Youth and Community Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and my Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy at The University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA).I have had the honor of serving as a community organizer with SA RISE, a Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow, a Leadership for Educational Equity Public Policy Fellow, a TFA San Antonio Alumni Board Member, and currently serve as a Board Member for The Bridge, a TFA DMV alumni organization.
