Having worked in retail for a number of years, I moved into primary education after negotiating a deal to sell PCs to a local primary school. Discovering and learning Scratch (a visual programming language) with my students inspired me to pursue my interest in programming at university with the objective of becoming a professional software developer. During my Computer Science degree, I completed an internship as a software developer with Seed Software. I am a keen supporter of creative computing as a way of supporting and enhancing learning have attended Scratch Conferences at MIT to further my skills and widen my contacts. Recently I have investigated the use of digital technology to drive audience engagement in museums and galleries with Hull Culture and Leisure, and have developed a mobile app using Xamarin.Forms for Ferens Art Gallery.
