I studied the protein folding of a particular protein (Cytochrome C) by observing its behavior outside the body through laboratory procedures. This area of study helps us better understand how diseases such as Cystic Fibrosis and Alzheimer’s stem from errors in protein folding.

Worked with a team of other high school girls and two mentors to design and build a mobile app for Google’s Android operating system for the 2010 Challenge. I wrote a business plan for the app and presented the plan at a “Pitch Night” event to Venture Capitalists and other business leaders. Teaching assistant the following year.
