Settings include emergency hostels and women's refuges, though my shifts primarily take place at a young people's service in which many clients are care leavers, ex-offenders or unaccompanied refugees. Some have escaped modern slavery and child sexual exploitation, and almost all have complex needs, for example substance misuse and anti-social behaviour, as well as mental health issues due to their traumatic life experiences.
