This position involves coordinating a Homeless Health project with homeless housing and outreach services in Westminster. This involves running a bi-monthly Health Action Group with services and health organisations, coordinating health MOT day events and health screening, reporting on health needs of homeless clients, organising an annual conference for clients, a quarterly newsletter and health training for staff and clients.

Key working clients as well as working with local health care providers to ensure a high quality service is achieved. Working closely with the CMHT, JHT and other services. Workshops and events for clients on health and other coping mechanisms (meditation, CBT, EFT) to enhance their progress.

This involved planning with hospital discharge teams to reduce hospital admissions, as well as working with homeless clients to increase engagement with health services. Co-ordinating a team of 6 project workers. Keeping up to date records of KPIs and keeping records of rent/housing benefit applications.

This is a low fee counselling service offered to individuals that would like to access psychotherapy.

The FreshStart service has evolved over the past few years to provide low fee therapy to a wider range of clients, particularly those who are unemployed or on very low income. FreshStart Psychotherapy became a limited company in January 2009 with Christa Scholtz, Vera Mensinga and Amanda Hon as Directors/Trustees, and in September 2009 was awarded charitable status, which will help us to continue to pursue fund raising possibilities and to continue to offer low fee or subsidised psychotherapy to those clients of the lowest means.
