Capital Realty & Development is a privately held real estate operating company that focuses on the acquisition, ownership and management of industrial and office properties throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. At Capital I developed new acquisition opportunities, conducted market analysis and financial underwriting, negotiated and abstracted leases, coordinated due diligence materials and managed build outs.

During college I founded and managed a real estate investment firm which purchased four buildings containing 13 units and 25 tenants. I identified properties with high appreciation potential and after raising equity and creating a partnership, we purchased properties that appraised for 15% greater than the purchase price. I leeased units to 100% occupancy and was responsible for the maintenance of all units and grounds. I prepared financial statements and periodically reported to partners on the status of the property, ensuring that rent was collected and the mortgage, taxes, insurance, payroll, and maintenance bills were paid on time. During my senior year I effectuated the sale of the property to a third-party, while managing all aspects of the transaction, providing a 19% annualized return for the partners involved.
