Continuing my work as Vice President I have worked to increase engagement for the mentorship program. Thus far I have increased overall participation by 25 percent and acquired 15 new professional mentors. In addition to improving the mentorship program, I have begun working with the Ohio State Alumni Association to implement an Ohio State PRSSA alumni society. This society would be used connect alumni and current members and work to improve the overall Ohio State PRSSA professional development. Once established I plan to work closely with the society to create a working relationship with the Alumni Director position.

Ohio State PRSSA was my time to be a leader. My time as Vice President of Ohio State PRSSA gave me the opportunity to take my driven personality and make a difference for others in the organization. While in office ran the programming for meetings and events, coordinated the mentorship program and connected with local professionals to make meaningful relationships for the chapter. By being professional and tactful I was able to create a impactful year for all members and open doors to countless opportunities for PRSSA members. During the mentorship program I took it upon myself to make the best matches and work to increase engagement during the program, ultimately leading to the creation of another role where I would continue this work the following year.

At the Franklin County Dog Shelter, not only did I take home a dog, but I took away a humbling experience. During my time at the Dog Shelter, I told the stories for those who could not tell it for themselves—the dogs. Running the various social media accounts, I learned how to hone the shelter's caring and compassionate voice while promoting awareness for the shelter. On top of the day-to-day social media management, I created signage and billboard collateral for the organization. At the shelter I managed the website and uploaded the canine photos with a personally crafted dog characteristic description using HTML coding. I coordinated with professional photographers to showcase the personality of each dog to find them a 'furever' home.

At the PRactice I quickly moved up the ranks from an account associate to an account executive. Being a part of this student run PR firm gave me the knowledge of working in an agency. I learned everything from account management to developing payment agreements. Throughout my year's involved I worked on nonprofit and corporate accounts. For these accounts I worked to develop social media strategies, plan marketing events and work to develop further business for firm. As an account executive I worked closely with the staff leadership to secure the firm's largest client, University Marketing— where I later became an Intern.
