I managed the global marketing team in Prague that was responsible for acquiring new users. In my first full year, we reversed a downward trend by adding 11.1 million new users (vs. 6.8 million the previous year), driving 51% year on year revenue growth (vs. 18% the year before), and launched a new web site that saw an immediate 10.5% increase in downloads, trials, and conversions. From 2014 to 2015, Avast went from protecting 22% of the world's personal computers (excluding China), to protecting 30%. The quarter I arrived (Q3 2013), Avast generated 228 press articles. 2 years later (Q4 2015), we generated 1345. We achieved all of this with a marketing budget that was 2% of revenue.

My team conducted the market research and positioning and messaging work that led us to replace our legacy products with a brand new product, Webroot SecureAnywhere -- the first fully cloud-based cybersecurity solution, which earned a PC Magazine Editor's Choice Award and a Bronze Edison Award, the first computer security product to do so. Within a year, our market share grew from 14% to 42%.
