The National Community Reinvestment Coalition is an association of more than 700 community-based organizations that promote access to basic banking services including credit and savings, to create and sustain affordable housing, job development and vibrant communities for America's working families. Our members include community reinvestment organizations, community development corporations, local and state government agencies, faith-based institutions, community organizing and civil rights groups, minority and women-owned business associations, local and social service providers from across the nation.

MMFHC’s mission is to promote fair housing throughout the State of Wisconsin by guaranteeing all people equal access to housing opportunities and by creating and maintaining racially and economically integrated housing patterns. Our Fair Lending Program works to ensure that all credit-worthy borrowers have equal access to fairly-priced home loans.MMFHC's Fair Lending Program provides education in the community and builds active partnerships, working across sectors to promote fair lending, prevent predatory lending and foreclosures, monitor banks’ CRA performance, and connect lenders with opportunities for investment in under-served neighborhoods.Other activities entail working with community groups, financial service regulatory agencies, elected officials, and other policymakers, to provide information, education, and advocacy to facilitate the provision of affordable housing choices, racial and economic integration, and inclusive communities – ensuring healthy neighborhoods in all communities in Metro Milwaukee.

UEDA is dedicated to the professional development of individuals and groups working in community and economic development. Our mission is to support housing and economic development initiatives that revitalize Wisconsin communities. With over 100 members, UEDA helps build capacity in the housing and economic development field through training, innovative solutions, advocacy and collaboration.

Sanchez was hired to broaden UEDA's scope of members and services to include housing-focused organizations.

Sanchez was the founding Executive Director of the San Diego Housing Federation (then called the Nonprofit Federation for Housing and Community Development), a coalition of nonprofits and other organizations and individuals working together to produce quality affordable housing and community development for lower income households in San Diego County, California. There, she grew the organization from an idea into a respected organization, recognized for its educational support to members, and policy work at the local, state and federal levels. Sanchez left this job when she and her husband departed for an 18 month budget travel trip around the world.

Sanchez' career began with 9 years at a Milwaukee community development corporation, the last 4 of those years as the Director of the Neighborhood Improvement Project, providing free home repairs for extremely low income homeowners. After moving to San Diego, she worked on policy issues, and then developed affordable housing for a nonprofit community development corporation, developing San Diego's first independent living apartments for people with AIDS.
