I performed a number of varied roles in the Compliance department. I help to research, prepare for and plan Compliance assessments by liaising with all the departments here at Canada Life. I am part of two important executive planning committees, the most impactful being GDPR.I write reports to a number of specialised members of staff and keep our assessments and findings in order by tracking their progress and establishing communications with key members of other departments when we need further information.An additional role I have is based around Information Security. I manage access and permissions for the Compliance team and work with the Information Security team. This is compounded by the experience and exposure I get at the GDPR meetings.

The role of an adjudicator involves resolving disputes between financial businesses and their customers. By weighing up the evidence an adjudicator arrives at a fair and reasonable decision as to what really happened between the parties.It is an alternative dispute resolution method so an adjudicators opinion is within the law of financial regulation. It is important to be able to communicate your decision to both the business and the customer so both verbal and written communication need to be at a high standard.

Before going to University and during my studies, I worked with a part-time recruitment agency to find work at the biggest museums in London. This helped me to generate an income while I was studying and developed some really key communication skills while dealing with a diverse range of people coming from all over the world to visit these tourist hotspots.
