As an early member of the engineering team I worked on all areas of the application. Built an offline-capable point of sale (progressive web app with Elm), developed an IOT application to scan boxes in the fulfillment center (Elixir, Nerves). Deployed and managed BI infrastructure. I worked on a back-end team responsible for in house tools and data ingestion. One of my larger projects was creating a logging system for Scribd's data pipeline that aggregates all logs in Hadoop HDFS. I also created tools to assist the editorial team and worked on various other aspects of the data pipeline.

I worked as a software developer at Olytico, an Irish company specialising in social media monitoring and analysis. My role involved building and maintaining their real time dashboard (written in Ruby on Rails) that allows companies to track and interact with social media content relating to their business.

Myself and another computer science student developed and released Android and iOS applications for Trinity College Dublin. The apps are a digital version of the Trinity Student card. I took part in Accenture's internship program during the Summer of 2014. Over the course of the internship I worked as part of a Business Systems Integration team on an Accenture client's site. My role involved software testing and user-support/training.
