I am in my thirty-third year of teaching as the Director of Orchestras and Music Technology at Shaker High School just north of Albany NY. Brian received a Bachelor of Music Education from the Crane School of Music and a Masters in Education from SUNY Albany. As director of the Shaker High School Orchestras, my groups have consistently received the top honors at state performance festivals. They have also traveled on numerous occasions to perform where they have received the highest commendations from adjudicators at those competitions. I have organized and been a part of many music trips with destinations including Hershey Pennsylvania, Busch Gardens Virginia, and Washington D.C. as well as numerous trips to Walt Disney World in Florida. I also served as the Orchestra Manager for the Empire State Youth Orchestra's trip to Portugal.Travel is an important part of any performing group's program to showcase the students' abilities to others outside of their local area and the long-lasting memories created for those students who participate in these trips.
