For as long as I can remember, I have always been a creative person. From dance to gymnastics to aerial silks for a brief time, I wanted to be apart of the arts anyway I could. I've always doodled and painted and drawn on sheets of paper and desks and my hands. I believe that even in those beginning years, there was a passion for design that I wasn't fully aware was blooming throughout my childhood. One of my most valuable experiences during my high-school career was traveling abroad to Italy with my AP Art class. This trip allowed me not only broaden my perspectives on the world but also to remind me to not push aside my love for the arts while also expanding into other passions and interests.In addition to my love of the arts, I was always curious about anything and everything. Specifically, what makes people tick. This led me to pursuing and gaining my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2017. I am now pursuing my Master's in Cyberpsychology from Norfolk State University as well as participating in Springboard's UX/UI Career Track Bootcamp. The ability to merge psychology and the arts is a beautiful way to aid in my career as a UX/UI designer. Psychology has granted me the empathy and observation skills to be able to relate and connect with users during their most frustrating moments. The artistic background has granted me the creativity and forward thinking that guides me through UI design decisions and creation.I continuously aim to gain more knowledge and evolve who I am as a person and who I will be as a working professional.
