I work for Alyeska Pipeline Service Company in the role of “all things Oracle”. Feel free to reach out on Oracle topics, other IT topics and opportunities…or just to say hello! My IT Background… With my entire professional career centered around IT, name it – and I’ve probably had that title at one point (sales, on-site and remote consulting, desktop support, service desk manager, functional and technical developer (SAP/ADP/PeopleSoft/EBS), project manager, network design, DBA, etc.…). Skipping forward to this last 10+ year “phase”, my primary focus has been “all things Oracle” with a heavy emphasis on Oracle’s E-Business Suite (or “EBS”).In just the last few years specifically, I’ve spent much more time in other Oracle areas as well. My more technical focus these days now includes Oracle databases, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and a few Oracle cloud PaaS and IaaS services as well. My OCI experience and knowledge is growing daily - there will always be more to learn there, I think! HRIS/HRMS systems/applications and reporting solutions have always been my passion, but times and environments change, as well as the internal needs and support models of the companies we all work for. For me, those changes resulted in a shift to a much broader and more technical back-end system focus. I'm not gonna lie...I do miss the HRIS challenges :-)What hasn’t changed is my drive for problem solving. I’m definitely not competitive by nature when it comes to competing with people (beating someone else just doesn’t do anything for me I guess). However, if it is me (or my team) against a system problem, solution, or challenge…I’m ALL IN!Yes, I am currently employed at Alyeska Pipeline in a challenging role. That does not mean I am not open to new options. experiences and challenges!
