Over the course of 10 years, as both a consultant and as an employee, I worked directly with the Managing Principals and all 50+ staff to define, refine, and ignite the Design Engineers brand. We have built:- DE Website | Wordpress-based, usability driven, heavy on visuals- DE Tradeshow Booth | A simple pull-up booth with a 16,000-part LEGO centerpiece (won AIA-IOWA Best Booth of Show)- DE Intranet | SharePoint and Teams configuration, management and deployment- DE Merch & Mail | Holiday mailings, tradeshow swag, and print pieces to promote DE- Proposals | Design and Strategy support for quick-turn proposal content, from Resumes to Project Descriptions and Project Overviews, and design support and writing for Prime Proposals- Presentations | Design, Photography and Strategy for Prime presentations and support for 3rd-party pursuits with architects- Architectural Photography | Interiors, Elevations, Aerial, and Seasonal with a focus on the artistic intersection of MEP design and architecture. - Portrait Photography | Casual professional individual and group photography (pre-pandemic)- Office Interiors | Design and installation of Cedar Rapids internal "brag board" signage. Design and installation of original Madison office "start-up" with custom window film, wallpaper, and hexagonal felt sound control. Design assistance with new Madison office for professional installation.- Sales Folder, Collateral & Business Card Redesign | Featuring high-touch simplified approaches like embossing, uncoated paper, and metallic hexagonal grids, we redefined DE's brand across notepads, thank you notes, certificates, socks, scarves, mugs, windows, flash drives, and notepads. - Matterport 360 Building Modelling | Worked with a team to formalize the DE process of building scanning by documenting a 150,000-sf County Courthouse. What would you call a cracker free from carbs and sugars, high in protein and calcium, low in sodium and with virtually no cholesterol? Did I mention it's also gluten-free? We call it Wausome! We're baking up cheese-based crackers every day and shipping them around Wisconsin, and soon around the world. It sounds cheesy, and it is.

Proposals, presentations, internal communications, PR, advertising, brand development, strategic market analysis. And the occasional t-shirt design.

Designed and delivered classroom, online, and CD training materials for wireless, rugged computer products and RFID systems. Spearheaded and lead developer for Intermec Wearable Technologies patents and product development. Developed new concepts for warehousing, cross-docking and AI-based warehouse management as well as new approaches to haptic, bone-conduction, and air-displays.

Taught web development courses focused on visual design and accessibility for the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee School of Continuing Education. Over 400 1 or 2-day classes for professionals. Also edited and drafted large portions of the Digital Design Track curriculum for Madison Media Institute. The program is a multi-media exploration of digital design and design integration with marketing objectives.

Led all multimedia efforts for this small marketing and advertising company.

Aesention was an award-winning web, print, and multi-media boutique agency in Madison, Wisconsin. Successfully merged with Heibing Group in 2004.
