SLF acts as a “community engagement bridge,” connecting local and international groups to move forward with bold visions and actions to address and impact some of the most pressing needs facing our nation and the world. As a steward of SLF, I fulfilled a dynamic role encompassing various responsibilities. I oversaw the progress of all programs and collaborated closely with board members and stakeholders. I worked directly under the President of SLF and served as his central communications lead. I oversaw donor stewardship and foundation outreach with grantors, grantees, program leads, and peer organizations. Financial logistics management was another crucial aspect of my role. It involved grant compliance practices, managing state and annual filings, expense reports, donation tracking, and seeking out funding opportunities. Through a grant proposal, I wrote I secured an $18,000 grant from the California Arts Council and managed compliance for over $100,000 in grant funding. Show less

Mosaic is a nonprofit organization that strengthens communities, cultivates belonging, and catalyzes inclusion through intercultural and co-created programs. I helped correct the Mosaic Atlas, a comprehensive asset database rooted in over 120 culturally distinct communities in the Bay Area. This digital humanities resource is used to (1) help policymakers, institutions, and community organizations organize outreach efforts, (2) support the design and delivery of more effective programs to marginalized and underrepresented communities, and (3) connect funders with communities in need. I conducted landscape analyses, qualitative population research, and in-depth interviews with institutions, venues, and organizations that serve as assets to specific or multiple cultural identities in the Bay Area. I liaised with local organizations and influential figures of specific cultural groups and managed ongoing relationships for outreach and collaboration. Show less

Project-based journalism, I wrote news debriefs and stories for multiple annual projects. Most notably, I wrote stories on Environmental, Social, and Governance principles in private equity. These stories were written for the inaugural PE Innovators in ESG Speak virtual event, where leaders from 18 entities are recognized for pioneering new approaches toward defining, measuring, and achieving ESG goals.

The California Tribal Epidemiology Center (CTEC), housed within the California Rural Indian Health Board (CRIHB), collects and interprets health information for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AIAN) in California. It works directly with Tribal Health Programs and urban Indian Health Organizations to monitor the health status of AIANs in California and develop effective public health services that respect each communities' cultural values and traditions. The goal of this Health Assessment was to assess the quality and effectiveness of their medical treatment services, as well as how we could improve and better allocate our resources in the future.
