Directed the operations of a Wideband Satellite Operations Center (WSOC) team comprised of up to twelve people. Roles and responsibilities for this position include administration of a wideband communications network consisting of over 1,000 seaborne, airborne, and land based terminals and multi-satellite constellation. Ensuring the continued operation and 100% availability of irreplaceable communications assets. Operated and maintained a large number of subsystems that worked in together including as part of the Wideband SATCOM Operations and Management Systems (WSOMS) Wide Area Network (WSOMSNET), SQL database and Common Object Request Broker software – DSCS Integrated Management Subsystem (DIMS), satellite network and simulation software – Common Network Planning Subsystem (CNPS), Remote Monitoring and Configuration Equipment (RMCE) and co-located heavy ancillary satellite terminal systems. Enforced compliance with policies, doctrine, and standard operating procedures (SOP) for customer support, satellite communications, terrestrial circuit operations, data confidentiality and integrity.

Knowledge of data and baseband subsystems, such as: Reference Generators (GPS/Cesium), Modems, RF Switches, Converters, and High Powered Amplifiers. Certified to operate Communications Security (COMSEC) and Transmission Security (TRANSEC) cryptographic devices: KIV-7M, KG-175D, KS252, and Simple Key Loaders (SKL). Experienced in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multiple satellite communications terminals to include heavy and medium strategic satellite ground terminals AN/FSC-78, AN/GSC-52 and Modernized Enterprise Terminal (MET). Experienced in the use of diagnostic test equipment including data test sets FIRBERD-6000/8000, T-BERD, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, multi-meters and Oscilloscopes.
