While at Matrix Integration, I helped to develop the Managed Services segment of the company. I was responsible for developing policies for the Remote Monitoring solution. I also performed network assessment/inventories of prospective customers and was responsible for onboarding new customers.I then transitioned to a role in VMWare support and implementation. I am responsible for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers, storage, and networking which were a part of the virtualized server environment for customers, as well as the hypervisor and the guest servers running on this hardware.I have taken on the lead role in deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrading of customers’ Exchange environments. I have become a preferred resource for Active Directory troubleshooting within the Data Center Virtualization team. I have been responsible for evaluating and onboarding new solutions to be deployed in customer environments. I have taken initiative in creating design templates, Best Practices documentation, checklists, and other shared documents in order to improve processes and standardization.• Created monitoring policies using SNMP, Event Logs, Syslog, etc.• Automated maintenance tasks to be performed for a number of Managed Services clients.• Coached junior engineers through new and complex tasks.• Implemented Office 365, Veeam Backup & Recovery, Unitrends Enterprise Backup, Exchange 2013, and various business-specific applications for customers.• Designed, planned, and implemented projects for customers including upgrades, migrations, and greenfield deployments involving VMWare vSphere/SAN/Backup solutions.• Created and customized PowerShell scripts to provide reporting and automation for customers to add value during Exchange installations and upgrades.• Performed troubleshooting of FC/SAS/iSCSI SANs, VMWare vSpere hosts, and Windows servers in customer environments.

While at the library, I focused on ways to improve efficiency and streamline our processes. I created a number of scripts to automate repetitive processes and utilized monitoring and remote support tools whenever possible to facilitate faster resolution of end-user issues.I was a strong proponent of virtualization and pushed for the adoption of VMware vSphere for server consolidation.
