Aspiring motion graphic artist and technology activist. Motivated to bring creative results to accommodate the tech industry. I always strive to imagine problems and solutions from a variety of different perspectives.I achieved a BA in Film and Media Arts at the University of Utah, which was an enriching experience. As a heavy consumer of media in all forms, I sought to embrace these ideas and wanted to positively affect people’s lives with something I was passionate about. As an undergraduate, I was able to place 'being a student' first and push myself to work on life skills and projects that I was interested in. There I was equipped with the tools to express my creativity and communicate messages through media. Two things I discovered for myself while completing my degree were how much I loved to learn, and how exciting it is to connect with people through a creative medium. After graduation, I had the opportunity to intern at Skalawag Productions. From organizing raw footage, to piecing together full-blown motion graphics, I learned many of the real world ins and outs of the film industry, from the perspective of a startup intern. I took advantage of the numerous opportunities to implement my own creative ideas and skills, but it was after this internship that I noticed something was missing. I wanted more to do with computers themselves, while also satisfying the 'learning desires' I had. I was interested in using code to communicate with computers and people alike, in a way that would be creative, seamless, and interesting.This is when Actualize came on the map. As I complete their bootcamp in web development, I am able to hone my skills in ways that fit the industry's needs. I am excited to work with a team to produce effective and creative solutions, as well as continue to learn more about the adapting tech industry.
