VetTechExpo -- Veterans and Military Technology Information and Employment Expo - Proprietor / Entrepreneur - (2014)I organized and coordinated a military / veterans job fair event. Recently, while seeking employments, I decided to start a company to organize and coordinate a military / veterans job fair event to help other Veterans and to also gain some experience and temporary income by offering this event. I was responsible for soliciting businesses and communicating with military units, Veterans and Veteran Service Organizations, responsible for marketing/ advertising, publicity, press, speakers and ceremony (band and Color Guards), workshop, food/ catering, finances and reputable branding. Provided a Workshop [a "Resumes' for Linked-In" Workshop], an Informational Lunch Session with a Lunch provided and Keynote Speakers, and a Round-table Introductions, followed by the Expo., - all without any assistance or experience or finances! I made a website, and a Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter social media pages for this event. Event completed successfully, as I had 30+ employers, 12 Veterans' Benefits Assistance Agencies, 3 speakers, 60 applicants, media news coverage, and lunch at no expense and with no assistance, and gained experience and enough profit for several months of seeking employment.
