As a student pursuing a career in marketing, I am an avid member and officer on the Kennesaw Marketing Association Board as the Vice President of Events. My accomplishments as an officer has been expanding my network with students, professors, other club affiliates and businesses as well as assist in a successful partnering campaign with OrderUp NW Atlanta in Fall of 2014. As a chapter, we lent our marketing services to help spread awareness of the online ordering platform and app Order Up offered. With every order placed using the promo code personalized to KMA, we received 25 cents. Proudly, our efforts resulted in over five hundred orders and over one hundred dollars for our organization. Also as an officer, I have assisted in increasing membership from under 10 members to 30 through marketing, word of mouth and composing a monthly newsletter. In this newsletter, we announce our next chapter meeting, followed by an agenda of events for the month, a link to the AMA website to increase membership, what we have accomplished in that month (guest speakers, industry tours, etc.) and then lastly, end the newsletter with a company of the month feature. This company is either one we are working with or hoping to work with as well as tour their facilities, and we also link the information to the company site as well in hopes to increase traffic and awareness of companies here in Atlanta.

Helping the business grow in efforts to grow Twitter, Facebook followings while learning about the B2B and B2C side of marketing. Orderup is a company that connects people who are hungry with restaurants in the surrounding area that deliver or do takeout.

PACE is translated as Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence and as the officer of the program my responsibilities involved building a mentor program from the ground up to achieve this goal. After contacting and meeting continuously with a local Middle School, I initiated the draw up of a way for students, grades 6th-8th, to be given the chance at a one on one interaction with college students. These students are on Academic Probation and the goal of the mentors is to propose examples of study habits and provide a safe haven for the student. As Honors Students in College, the mentors provide a path for the students they are assigned, a path that is aimed at increasing academic performance, attendance and morale while decreasing high school drop out rates.

At Kinetix, I was presented the opportunity to see the management and database/research sides of Marketing. I was able to see all job aspects within the company such as recruiting, blogging, and the CEO's schedule too. Kinetix allowed me to get familiar with the MaxHire Database and gain further experience in Social Media appearances. Twitter, LinkedIN, and Instagram were my main focuses. On Instagram, I posted one to two photos per week to give followers an idea about the company culture. I gained over 400 followers for the Windstream twitter account assigned to me via the program known as TweetAdder. This was accomplished by doing research on the client's competitors and engaging in the same interactive circles to build online engagement.Using Buffer and Feedly, I aggregated content/news on a daily basis, and chose five to ten articles per week to be potential selections on the Kinetix blog: Fistful of Talent.
