    As a student pursuing a career in marketing, I am an avid member and officer on the Kennesaw Marketing Association Board as the Vice President of Events. My accomplishments as an officer has been expanding my network with students, professors, other club affiliates and businesses as well as assist in a successful partnering campaign with OrderUp NW Atlanta in Fall of 2014. As a chapter, we lent our marketing services to help spread awareness of the online ordering platform and app Order Up offered. With every order placed using the promo code personalized to KMA, we received 25 cents. Proudly, our efforts resulted in over five hundred orders and over one hundred dollars for our organization. Also as an officer, I have assisted in increasing membership from under 10 members to 30 through marketing, word of mouth and composing a monthly newsletter. In this newsletter, we announce our next chapter meeting, followed by an agenda of events for the month, a link to the AMA website to increase membership, what we have accomplished in that month (guest speakers, industry tours, etc.) and then lastly, end the newsletter with a company of the month feature. This company is either one we are working with or hoping to work with as well as tour their facilities, and we also link the information to the company site as well in hopes to increase traffic and awareness of companies here in Atlanta.

As Honors Students in College, the mentors provide a path for the students they are assigned, a path that is aimed at increasing academic performance, attendance and morale while decreasing high school drop out rates.
