Chief Operating OfficerChief Operating Officer for the Bainum Family Foundation, which for nearly 50 years has helped underserved children and youth exit poverty. The Foundation operates and supports high-quality educational programs and wrap-around services — from early childhood through post-secondary education — that contribute to a child's well-being, healthy development and success in both school and life. We do this through a circle of collaboration that includes parents, educators, other funders, nonprofit partners, policymakers, and business and civic leaders.Current responsibilities include:• Overseeing implementation and operational activities for all programs and initiatives — translating the Foundation’s mission, vision and goals into sustainable processes, systems and procedures to deliver quality program services• Serving as internal leader of the organization — promoting a high-performing culture that fosters the Foundation’s core values of continuous learning, integrity, collaboration and commitment• Spearheading Foundation’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Initiative — an intentional internal effort that leverages staff retreats, monthly staff meetings, ongoing coaching and development conversations with supervisors, performance reviews and other talent practices to embrace and celebrate DEI and enrich our core values• Developing and implementing key performance criteria for all departments with accuracy, urgency and insight to drive optimal individual and collective performance• Supporting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer to chart the Foundation’s future growth and strategic response to increasing demand for the organization’s services• Working with Human Resources to develop new positions as the organization changes and grows, and manages organizational structure aligned with core functions and strategy
