In his adjusting career, he has worked for 20 years as an adjuster in Houston with DeHart, Hopkins & Rodriguez; Bateman-Chapman (Americas) Inc., B.C. Johnson & Associates, Charles Taylor Adjusting and R. Winkler & Co. He has worked a wide range of domestic and international claims specializing in Well Control, Onshore/Offshore Construction, Rig Physical Damage (onshore/offshore), Business Interruption, Pipeline Installation & Storage and Pollution. Over the course of his career, Darrell has negotiated numerous complex million-dollar claim settlements.Major loss assignments include various deep water claims for pipeline collapse during installation and floating platform titanium riser hanger failures (Gulf of Mexico); deep water marine riser failure (Brazil); various massive surface blowouts resulting in pollution and third-party claims (GOM, Texas, Louisiana, Mexico & Bolivia); pipeline construction claims due to damaged installation vessel (Argentina), physical damage of salt dome storage wells (Texas) and numerous upstream & midstream physical damage claims of oilfield equipment, pipeline compression & storage facilities.
