  Dr. Keith has worked in the environmental field since 1991, and was responsible for establishing the Gulf Coast Operations of Anchor QEA, LLC working out of Ocean Springs, MS. Starting as their only employee on the U.S. Gulf Coast in 2002/2003, Dr. Keith helped build and lead a team of over 30 scientists, engineers and support staff that served clients in industrial, state, federal, port, and local sectors across the Gulf Coast and United States at the end of his tenure as a partner in the company. Dr. Keith worked with other partners and staff at Anchor QEA throughout the U.S. to develop plans for staffing, management, quality assurance/quality control, health and safety, and growth strategies from the ground up to make this expansion possible. Technically, the focus of the work that Dr. Keith was responsible for over the last 30 years involved analysis and evaluation of potential environmental issues in soil, sediment, and groundwater environments at upland, marine, and nearshore facilities. Dr. Keith was involved in shoreline remediation and restoration projects for large industrial clients, ports, state and local governments, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Department of Defense. He served as the project manager for Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Studies at the Patrick Bayou Superfund Site, Texas, the San Jacinto Superfund Site, Texas, and the Bayou d’Inde Corrective Action Study Area, Louisiana and provided expert support services on many others. These projects involved evaluation of baseline environmental conditions, establishing environmental risks, and development of remedial options, and plans and specifications to address those risks. Projects typically involved working closely with a variety of Federal and State agencies including USEPA, USACE, USFW, NOAA, state departments of environmental quality, fish and game, other natural resource trustees, and participating in community outreach programs.
