Some of the most important aspects of an engineer involves the often-understated ability to effectively communicate confusing instructions between clients and fellow employees. Quite similarly, I have been to Japan for almost every summer of my life working in an International School as the A/V technician. Performing this task required me to communicate across a language barrier in order to communicate with my bosses instruct the children when needed. In the same way, my time as a cart attendant for Sam’s Club helped me learn how to communicate with very different kinds of people, including ones I could not understand in order to meet their needs and fulfill my duties. I believe there is almost no difference when trying to change the technical language of the job into casual words for the average employee in this position. On the other hand, these jobs also requires numerous hours of what may seem cumbersome yet crucial work during times of detailing documentation. Whenever I have tasks like this, I recall the times I spent meticulously practicing the same music repeatedly to make the TMEA Allstate Mixed Choir. Countless hours at school and at home, I utilized my voice to its fullest capacity to ensure my success, as I no doubt will do for this responsibility. This matches my experience during a group project in a Software Engineering class, where we, as a group, built a pet sitter website. I was tasked with creating all the documentations comments for design and use, just as IT needs everything documented for future readers and redesigners.I look forward to working together with you, and hope again to hear from you soon.
