Over the past four years, as the Director of Growth and Innovation, my portfolio of responsibilities has been wide ranging including:—Sales Management, Business Development, Pricing, Budget, Lead Generation, New Client Acquisition and Existing Client Retention (This is the “Growth” part of my title)—New Product Development (both new Analytic tools for customers, and new product packages for prospects)—Cross functional Team Leadership and Process Improvement (Integrating Systems, Finance and Account Management with Sales and Marketing)—Providing on screen talent for Marketing videos and Product demos (The last three bullets are some of the areas of “Innovation” represented in my title.)

I took some time off to scratch an entrepreneurial itch: to open a restaurant in my hometown of Rockport, MA. It became a popular destination for both locals and tourists, and lives on now--under new management--as "The Whale's Jaw Cafe".

Boston, Ma

Over these 6 years, I had the incredible pleasure of taking my project, creativity and change skills into the direct management of a tremendous team of 30 developers and project managers: the Epic Configuration and Support teams. These teams‘ daily work was to evaluate and execute all installations, upgrades, updates, and customer requests for Atrius' electronic medical record. But our secret goal was to transform all of Atrius from the inside. We loved the projects that really improved patient care--the ones that informed and empowered them. And we built an interior team culture that was infectious. Our department became the sought after destination for all the innovators, dreamers, and lifers who still gave a damn.

As a Change Management consultant, I helped Fortune 500 organizations run the critical projects that could not fail. I helped them develop their project teams, build innovative cultures, and roll out initiatives that helped them achieve their integration needs and corporate strategy. Some of the critical change strategies applied were: —Precise, targeted communications—Opposition awareness and engagement—Cultural investigation and innovation—Team building through Applied Improvisation—Change monitoring for long term sustainment
