Java Senior Consultant in an insurance company working on several web applications based on Spring, JSF and Hibernate.

Worked on MadeinLocal. This web application allows the user to share, comment and rate any place in a city. Facebook was integrated to allow the user to log in into MadeinLocal and import his/her friends from Facebook. When a user searches for a place (e.g. a bar), the application will search through the available places and promote the ones which are highly rated by his/her friends.* Maintained the web application based on Ruby on Rails and integrated with Google Maps, Facebook and OpenID.* Refactored the search algorithm into a more cleaner design using standard Ruby Modules. This allowed the algorithm to be optimized by avoiding heavy and not needed computations.* Developed the dedicated REST server interface for mobile applications, based on JSON.* Developed the iPhone application and deployed to the Apple App Store. With this application the user can search for places based on its current location in the city, send a rating to Facebook or chat with his/her friends.* Developed the iPad prototype application using the iPhone code base.* Maintained some parts of the Android application.

Worked on the Geneva's eVoting application.* Maintained the application with several security upgrades (encryption, signatures, pki).* Integrated a physical random number generator based on quantum optics into Java programs.
