Animal Husbandry Technician
Current- Work independently, traveling between 2-5 various client locations per day on a periodically shifting schedule.
- Maintain daily logs of husbandry tasks, environmental parameters of animal rooms, animal imports/ exports, breeders, weaned animals, euthanasias and cage changes.
- Ear tagging, ear punch, tattoo and tail snip identification/ genotype sample submission.
- Routine animal weight and tumor measurement data collection.
- Work in several “Hot” rooms requiring additional radioactivity safety trainings and additional PPE/ monitoring requirements.
- Inspect each enclosure in assigned rooms for cage floods, adequate food and water, new litters of pups, flagged/wrote up sick or injured animals for the veterinary staff and performed basic treatments.
