Empathy at Work is central to the work I am involved with at TalkBack & CoachTalk. I have a concern that we are not listening to our people enough, in fact very little and the consequences to psychological and mental health can be hugely damaging. I want to do something about that. People like being listened to, it is far better than being ignored. We all know the emotions that generates. I am available to Speak about this - we all need to address the issue. It is a cause of depression and can lead to serious illness which ends up costing our Health Service a lot of money. It's time to listen using conversation. Dump the thought that a survey on its own will supply the feedback you need. That is not good enough. Have the conversation before it is too late and before the people you want to hear from, have moved on. You know it makes sense.
