Designed, built, and maintained a highly-available multi-tier Web hosting architecture to support the University's core Web properties, utilizing open-source technologies (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Puppet/Satellite, MariaDB/Galera, Varnish, WordPress).Managed F5 application delivery infrastructure, including load balancing and DNS, for high availability of core line-of-business applications. Developed custom F5 ASM (security) and APM (authentication) policies to interoperate with single-sign-on systems and to enforce Information Security policy requirements.Implemented Cisco WSA proxy to aid in Information Security policy compliance, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention.Utilized network tools including Wireshark and browser development tools to troubleshoot proxy and load-balancer connectivity issues.Installed, configured, and managed multiple Web server platforms (Apache httpd, IIS, Tomcat) and database platforms (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB).Built highly-available Splunk server environment. Assisted internal customers with adding new data sources, and with creating reports and dashboards.

Designed and maintained all aspects of an Internet service provider network spanning five counties, including upstream ISP BGP peering; core network firewall and VLAN configuration and maintenance; support services including DNS, DHCP, and PPPoE.Maintained Web and email servers, and related infrastructure (including Barracuda email filtering, Plesk Web hosting control panel, and VMware virtualization hosts).Developed multiple in-house applications to aid in tracking customer tickets and employee task management, interfacing with industry-specific CRM software.Provided end-user technical support for residential and small-business ISP customers for all aspects of Internet usage, including Web browser and email configuration and home networking.
