I am an Aerospace Engineering and Technology manager, passionate about taking on challenging technical problems and leveraging emerging technologies to solve those problems. I enjoy bringing people together from diverse backgrounds who can help solve these problems in creative ways. I've always really enjoyed building a deep understanding of our underlying technical methods and providing paths for streamlining and automating the tasks that take engineers away from doing the real engineering work.I have had the privilege to work at the Boeing Company since 2005 primarily as a Loads & Dynamics Engineer within the Flight Sciences organization. I hold a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois (2005), and a Certificate of Project Management from the University of Washington. I began my career supporting aerodynamic analysis for wind tunnel, CFD and Flight Tests analyses for the 787-8 and 747-8 programs. I then transitioned into Product Development and developed automation software to integrate Loads Analyses into an MDAO framework for performing configuration optimization studies. I transitioned to the 787-10 program to take on a product manager role for a flight test planning web application and analytics engine geared towards optimizing flight test operations. In this role I learned to apply Agile management strategies to increase productivity and provide a better product. I also worked as a Program Integration Manager for the 787-10 program to prepare and execute the flight test program and mitigate technical risks. I then returned to Loads & Dynamics as a lead engineer and Product Manager for a multidisciplinary modeling, analysis and optimization software supporting product development and production programs. I recently transitioned to a management role within Loads & Dynamics for our Product Development, 777X Dynamic Flight Loads, and Tools and Methods teams. I also manage our technology portfolio which consists of a wide array of technology and software development projects.
