I am also certified to perform Casper jumpstarts, which is a process by where the IT staff is trained on all basic components of Casper Suite Ranging from the initial Installation and setup, to imaging, package creation, and device management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware· Design, implementation, and support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.· Engineer and implement system solutions for customers using technologies that meet their needs· Implement and support disaster recovery solutions· Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security· Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix· System documentation and consulting services to include system reviews and recommendations· Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages

As the current Macintosh Admin for QVC's Macintosh environment, I am responsible for creating and maintaining a stable platform for Mac users to be productive. I have developed, tested, and implemented an infrastructure that allows any Mac machine to be imaged/reimaged from any place on QVC's corporate network. We are also using a dual directory service which allows us to enforce group policy to each of the Mac machines.Specialties: Mac end user support and administration with Apple remote Desktop; Mac OSX server hardware and software support and administration; and Open Directory/ Active Directory administration; expertise in using Apple technologies to image, patch and run maintenance on all Mac machines in the environment.In addition to my previous responsibilities, as a team lead, I now address escalated issues from level 2 team members, and participate in discussions regarding new team initiatives and policies. In my new role, I am more focused on long term project type work that shapes the department and the company as a whole., and investigating and evaluating new software that will increase productivity, reduce errors through automation, and provide accurate and timely access to reports regarding hardware and software changes to the Workstation infrastructure.With the release of OSX 10.7 and 10.8, and apples move to digital software distribution, we were forced to look at different solutions for managing our Mac infrastructure. I evaluated and implemented Jamf Software’s Casper Suite so that I could continue to image new machines with the latest Apple OS’s, remotely install software, enforce group policy, inventory hardware and software, and package mac software for installation.With QVC adopting Enterprise Vault for Archiving files, I brought in Group Logics ExtremeZip and Archive Connect which enables our Macs to retrieve archive files.
