Undergraduate research assistant to Dr. Deborah Casper in the Human Development and Family Studies department. Utilized thematic coding and mixed-methods data analysis to understand bystander interventions in situations of potential sexual assault amongst college students. Third author of “I pulled them apart and told them to stop”: A Mixed-Methods Examination of Bystander Behavior, Preparedness, and Emotional Reaction” in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence.

Selected as one of 27 incoming freshman at the University of Alabama for the University Fellows Experience, a community of elite scholars from a variety of disciplines who share a commitment to becoming change agents through their leadership and service.

Selected as one of 40 incoming freshman at the University of Alabama for the Randall Research Scholars Program, a nationally recognized undergraduate research program that pairs top students with leading UA faculty to complete scholarly research projects in any field of study.

Mentored incoming Honors College freshmen during their transition to college. Led small-group discussions on being a college student, engaged scholarship, and opportunities on and off campus they might be interested in.

As a social services intern during two summers, I gained extensive experience in case management, specifically meeting with clients, filling out intake forms to determine needed services, and assisting with paperwork for substance abuse and mental health rehabilitation placements. Specialized in alternative sentencing programs within the criminal justice system setting.

Studied in Oxford, England at Worchester College with faculty and students from the Honors, English, and History departments at UA. Engaged in coursework that contributed to a rich cultural, artistic, and literary history of Oxford and England as a whole.
