Partnered with ranchers in the San Joaquin Valley to explore grazing management strategies. Planned responses in rangeland management to adapt with increasing drought and fire pressure. Invited community members, with a focus on high school age participation, to engage in rangeland health monitoring and utilize monitoring tool LandPKS.

Chico, California, United States

Completed apprenticeship at C&R Ranch in northern California. Used Holistic Management practices to bolster soil health and a perennial grass community within a grass fed/grass finished beef cattle operation. Collected and evaluated soil samples to determine best grazing practices. Worked towards long term goals of increased perennial grass populations, greater soil tilth, decreased soil erosion, and greater landscape biodiversity.
