In addition to other roles & responsibilities; I assisted with the development and implementation of our agency's new registrant database - which helped transition our state agency from primarily paper-based processes to online services. Previously, I Chaired the State Board's Executive Search Committee, which undertook the recruitment and hiring of our Board Administrator in 2019, and Chaired the Statewide Conference on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Responsible for managing all aspects of our agency's communication and public relations efforts. I work directly with Board members and agency administrators to prioritize communication activities and identify areas of opportunity for community engagement. Coordinate OSBEELS-hosted events and the agency's participation in college, community and professional events throughout the state of Oregon. Additional duties include overseeing social media accounts, serving as the Public Records Manager and editor of the agency's quarterly publication, The Oregon Examiner, as well as Legislative representative.

As the Sports-Instructor Lead I organized and coordinated the Kroc Center's weekly men's basketball league, annual sports tournaments and various youth sports camps. My responsibilities included organizing teams and schedules, and communicating to members and guests openings in the league and camps.

As the marketing and public relations coordinator for Samaritan Albany General Hospital, I oversaw all marketing and sponsorship activities within the Albany community. I helped manage local events, internal and external communications and media relations. Additional duties included managing social media and online sites, preparing content for system-wide publications and new provider announcements. Samaritan Albany General Hospital is part of Samaritan Health Services.

As a member of the Microsoft Office team I contributed to a broad range of projects for my team, which included creating and maintaining press lists, researching media outlets and creating briefing documents for Microsoft product managers, assisting with new business announcement materials, comprehensive, in-depth coverage reports and branding editing for third-party press releases.Because of my interests in event planning I assisted with developing communication materials for multiple major Microsoft events, including National Small Business Week and Microsoft's World Partners Conference. Another responsibility I held on the Office team was handling reactive requests from members of the media on a daily basis.

I worked daily on the internal Operations team at WE and spent my last six months in this position splitting my time with the Microsoft PR team as an account coordinator for the Rapid Response team before transitioning full-time to the Microsoft Office Team. My responsibilities on the Rapid Response team included handling press inquiries from domestic and international media, flagging product related coverage and working with account teams to fulfill requests. I also completed research projects for website and press verification during the release of Microsoft Office 2013 and various new business opportunities.

I interned with the Salem Health marketing and communications team from Nov. 2011 through Sept. 2012. This internship was a great opportunity for me to learn about all the aspects of a marketing team and gain experience in the areas I was interested in. While interning I gained a lot of experience with event planning and marketing as well as service line marketing. While completing these projects I was able to work and connect with people from all areas and levels of the organization, from ER nurses to chief officers.My responsibilities when planning events included creating advertising pieces for radio, digital and newspapers, handling ad reservations, news releases and also creating internal information pieces for departments. Events I helped coordinate included community health fairs, a Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion show and grand openings for new clinics and remodeled surgical centers. Attendances for these events totaled over 3,500 community members!Our team primarily used Base Camp to manage our projects and communicate with external business partners. While interning I also attended weekly marketing team meetings, completed many internal informational pieces and updated medical records and contact lists.

I was floor salesman for Shopko. I preformed various customer service duties and help customers find the best items for their needs.

Worked as a summer intern at Heinz's Ore-Ida facility. Organized and headed the Ore-Ida Communication team, which dealt specifically with improving internal communications. I gathered and analyzed various production data to find best practices and areas for improvement in the process. Also helped plant managers install new lean manufacturing process into the facility, as well as reorganize the plant using 5S organization methods.
