At Gate Gourmet, a global leader in airline catering solutions and provisioning services for domestic and international airlines, I served as the Human Resources Manager for the LAX unit, overseeing a workforce of 600+ union and salary employees. In this role, my focus included the following key functional areas:Employee Relations: Handling evaluations, performance management, and addressing grievances.Organizational Culture: Ensuring alignment of values, norms, and attitudes with the business vision.Recruiting: Managing the end-to-end process, from sourcing and interviewing to hiring and onboarding new employees.Legal Compliance: Maintaining meticulous records for employment eligibility, taxes, safety, and licensure to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.Health and Safety: Conducting regular reviews of practices, reporting incidents, and maintaining accurate logs.Change Management: Strategically planning, communicating, and stabilizing changes within the company.Training and Development: Facilitating ongoing education and providing necessary information for professional growth.
