At the California Energy Commission, I supervised teams working to advance energy efficiency, energy benchmarking, and building decarbonization in the built environment. Most recently, the work resulted in California being consecutively Ranked #1 in the nation for state energy efficiency (https://www.aceee.org/state-policy/scorecards). As an Assistant Tribal Liaison, I promoted clean energy equity in disadvantaged communities and tribal lands.I successfully launched and oversaw the implementation of several state programs: the California Building Energy Benchmarking Program, the Infill Infrastructure Grant Program, the Transit-Oriented Development Housing Program, and the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program, a Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) program.My experience reflects the knowledge and skills necessary for effective public and private collaboration in the development and adoption of practical environmental policies, regulations, and funding programs.
