Actively involved in an ongoing project led by Semih Aslan, Ph.D to create an augmented reality hand washing tool for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Collaborating with a team of undergraduate students to develop and integrate AR avatars that provide interactive visual feedback, including running water, soap application, and hand drying, to engage children with ASD in proper handwashing techniques. Currently working on developing recognition of sink environments to help the AR program identify actual objects in the surroundings and trigger training sequences using deep learning techniques on the server-side. Contributing to the development and integration of the infrastructure of computers and networking to provide high bandwidth capture for real-time handwashing training. Engaging in ongoing research and development efforts to enhance the AR training experience and encourage muscle memory development and sanitation habits among children with ASD. Actively participating in problem-solving discussions, brainstorming sessions, and project planning to ensure the successful execution of the project. Demonstrating a strong commitment to learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AR technology and software development. Collaborating closely with the project team, including Semih Aslan, Ph.D, to exchange ideas, share progress, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
