As a team member receptionist, I was responsible for ensuring a smooth check-in for guests and providing an introduction to the hotels key features.I took guest reservations and allocated rooms to suit guests needs.I provided advice and information about local attractions including restaurant and transport options.I dealt with any guest complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.I liaised with and assisted housekeeping to ensure all rooms were ready for check in.I had the ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities throughout a shift.During my time with Travelodge, I received numerous positive mentions on TripAdvisor and Wish.I became a popular team member as I was willing to help with all departments and help out when there were shifts that needed covering.I sadly had to leave due to relocation from North Wales to Littlehampton West Sussex.

I supported tenants to maintain their tenancy with GBC. This involved support with financial difficulties, applying for benefits, setting up achievable budgeting plans, appealing benefit decisions and sign posting tenants to other agencies that can offer different areas of support.I dealt with difficult situations such as neighbour disputes, unwanted guests or the use of illegal substances in the property.I visited the tenants in their flats allowing me to monitor their mental health and the condition of the property, offering support if needed, to improve their living conditions.I had to be assertive when needed but at the same time empathetic to the needs of the tenant. The majority of tenants suffer with mental health including PTSD, Schizophrenia, Bi-polar, autism and personality disorder, so at times their behaviour can be quite challenging.I monitored rent accounts via the Orchard system and set up payment plans if the tenant fell in to arrears.The main aim is for the tenant to move to general needs housing.I worked with tenants to set up their utilities, apply for water sure plus and the warm home discount. I also supported them to notify DWP and change GP’s if necessary.Working with partner agencies, I was able to involve residents in volunteering projects, attending further education and joining sports and social clubs. I left GBC to take a year out supporting my partner on a well-being trip.

I supported men aged 18 – 60+ who suffer with complex needs due to drug or alcohol abuse, mental health or lack of social skills. Due to their chaotic lifestyle, they become homeless and in need of accommodation and support. The aim of the hostel is to support the tenant to gain the necessary skills to enable a move on and eventually live independently in their own accommodation

During my time with Orbit, I supported residents to maintain a tenancy through support planning, reviews and health and safety monitoring, preparing them for moving on to general needs accommodation.I managed the scheme for 6 months. Attended managers meetings. Stakeholders partnership working. Liaised with other departments in the organisation to enable smooth day to day running of the scheme. Monthly supervisions with the staff team.Attended regular "safeguarding" training courses.
