Greg Black has been teaching the art of hang Gliding since 1980 after working for a major hang glider manufacturer in California. Greg earned his master rating in 1985 and is an advanced instructor, Towing administrator, Ultralight pilot and a BFI. ( basic flight instructor) Greg has over 1500 hours flying hang gliders. The flight park at Mountain Wings, owned and operated by Greg is one of the largest and top rated flight schools in the country and has one of the top safety records. Greg also owns his own mountain launch on the side of the Ellenville mountain just above rout 52. This launch site is run by the local hang gliding club, the Northeastern Air Sports Association and has a 62 X 52 ft pressure treated ramp and is the easiest and safest launch on the mountain. Greg's 3000 sq ft store and pilots lounge is located at the flight park with a beautiful bowl shaped grassy training hills facing multiple directions and is said to be one of the safest training hills around. The flight park rests against the foot of the Shawangunk mountain range and boarders again the Rail Trail with miles and miles of groomed trails for hiking and mountain biking with has access to numerous water falls and caves.
