Peter’s racing history followed the well-worn path from go carts to open-wheelers. He started riding motorbikes as a toddler, seeing Pete’s natural flare for all things petrol powered his father (a Qantas engineer) decided four wheels was safer than two and started taking Pete to local go cart tracks…Followed by a stint in Car Club Super Sprints and Regularity competitions.In 1995, Peter then went to England and attended the Jim Russell Drivers School at Donnington Park. “This was a real leaving experience for me ” Pete .The art of becoming a professional driver and the skills required to stay at the Top of the game were essential messages from the program.After successfully completing the course, Peter was invited to stay there and work with the school as an instructor and race as a representative of the school.Ultimately Winning the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School World Scholarship.Peter returned toAustralia in 1998 and commenced working for Mercedes-Benz as a Senior Advanced Driving Instructor and also for Porsche in their advanced training programs.At the same time Peter began competing in the Australian Formula 3 Championship for a small Sydney based Ferrari workshop.A close connection to Italian flare led to a long relationship with Lamborghini.Driving the amazing Diable GTR for Team Lamborghini Australia for many years, including at the Bathurst 24hr race.After Racing with Team Lamborghini, the opportunity to race the Mercedes-AMG SLS GT3 was provided. A natural progression given the continued relationship with Mercedes-Benz in Australia through their Driving Academy.
