With a wealth of experience in organising and leading choirs, orchestras, and musical theatre groups, as well as setting up and leading performing arts departments, I am a experienced teacher working in performing arts education. My passion lies in working with young people, guiding them towards their own pathways and passions through inclusive and challenging curriculums.I hold an MA in international education from King's College London, where I began to develop research linked to decolonising the music curriculum. This exploration has influenced my approach to designing educational programs that are reflective of the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of the students I work with. I strive to create environments where every individual feels valued and supported bringing inclusivity, respect, and belonging to the music classroom. Throughout my career, I have supported new teachers and mentored developing professionals and am an advocate for continuous reflection leading to professional development. My leadership style is to foster growth and creativity in both students and educators and this has been a driving force behind my work.Currently, I am working on empowering young people through arts education and enrichment opportunities.
