- Supervise staff responsible for the processing of all incoming revenue for the Department in accordance with all Treasury guidelines - Manage staff who handle the processing of the Department’s mail and courier services to ensure all incoming/outgoing mail is processed timely and efficiently to support the deposit of revenue and issuance of licenses- Supervise procurement staff and their procedures to ensure Department has all required products and services, including standard and highly specialized contracts and supplies, necessary to function at full capacity. - Serve as liaison between Department and General services, manage the motor vehicle coordination for the Department’s owned and leased vehicles to ensure compliance with all General Service’s rules and regulations- Manage the Department’s assets including, but not limited to, capital and non-capital sensitive assets. Develop the Department’s inventory policy and conduct an annual inventory in accordance with State policy- Establish, implement and maintain Department specific Fiscal policies and procedures and regularly revisit and test policies and procedures for improvements and updates- Provide input on the Department’s contracts and assist legal with the preparation of documentation for the Legislature - Operate as the liaison between the Department and General Services on all real estate and capital projects planning and implementation - Analyze Department billing on a monthly basis to verify accuracy and work with the Divisions to correct discrepancies- Ensure staff follow the required performance management processes by creating S.M.A.R.T. goals, creating job plans, providing one-on-one interim and annual reviews, and provide coaching/feedback- Restructure processes and procedures to allow for staff participation in Alternative Work Space (AWS). - Coach supervisors in productivity monitoring and clear guidelines for the Fiscal Section staff participating in AWS

- Assist in maintaining monthly performance metrics for the divisions of Regulatory Boards and Consumer Affairs- Assist with the preparation of monthly Customer Focused Government data reports - Advise in the implementation of fiscal and budgetary changes to ensure Regulatory Boards maintain self-sufficiency - Compile and analyze monthly financial reports that includes budgeted vs. actual performance - Support management in the preparation of annual revenue projections- Assist in the preparation of the annual spending plan- Contribute in the preparation of the annual financial presentation to each board & commission- Ensure timely submission of all financial data, reports and other documentation/information to maintain compliance- Create quality checklist and assist in the auditing, analysis and review of the Combined Boards and the Burial Services division- Work closely with the program Directors and administration to ensure that each program operates in compliance with and according to its administrative authority and within the scope of the divisions’ standard policies and procedures- Maintain reporting tools to support and analyze each programs processes and collaborate with IS and divisional directors. - Ensure completion of projects related to accounting, audit or data management using standards established in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) - Complete all projects assigned by the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, and Accounting Manager- Provide risk assessment and mitigation strategies for accounting manager - Coordinate and oversee changes to the daily revenue processing functions - Assist with the oversight of the three mailroom staff and processes, the eight revenue processing center staff and processes and the four accounting office staff and processes- Assist with licensing processes as they relate to revenue processing

- Lead auditor for business payroll tax audits, inclusive of financial and personnel employment status investigations to determine compliance with provisions of the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC) and supporting regulations- Develop guidance documentation to include legal audit reports and assessments based on audit findings- Provide risk analysis and advise employers in the future application of the CUIC- Educate employers on employment and tax law intricacies- Represent the State of California as the key witness before an ALJ at tax and unemployment benefit hearings to ensure fair employment and business tax compliance - Identify subject wage information and determine eligibility for completing benefit program assignments- Conduct investigations to determine eligibility for unemployment and disability benefits- Lead trainer for employee auditor roles and responsibilities- Develop and lead cross-departmental briefings relative to business process improvement opportunities- Conduct financial reconciliation in support of internal operational requirements- Review and analyze contractual agreements to determine operational control specifications- Travel out of state to conduct large audits on multi-state employers
