I have worked in technology for 20 years and have been an active participant in an industry that has undergone remarkable change, and is not nearly done with its evolution. Through my experience in this industry I have developed a strong set of leadership skills that include strategic planning, team development and building operational structures around product development teams. I often get asked about the role of Product Operations in a technology driven company. Product Operations is the crossroads between traditional Operations and Product Development. In the traditional model Operations groups typically include support/success teams, account/stakeholder management, business development and marketing which often struggle to interact, and have a voice, with the Product Development team. The role of Product Operations is to bring these two groups together. Done well, the end result is an Operations group deeply invested in supporting the product and working hard for its success, and a Product Development group that has insight and support to build a better product. I have had success as a Product Operations leader through fully immersing myself in the Product Development process combined with my experience leading operations teams. My purpose is to develop strong teams that build and deliver amazing products through collaboration and shared goals.
