Written communication is my most enduring passion and most valued strength. I am happiest with pen in hand and a storm of ideas in mind. Whether researching white papers, devising thought leadership strategies, creating marketing content, crafting stories, translating poetry or blogging about Iceland, I am an enthusiastic and dedicated team player who gravitates towards big-picture thinking. I am candid to the extreme, a completely open book, and laugh an awful lot. Best not to ask a favor before my morning coffee, which is why my kids knew how to work the espresso machine before they could read and write. I am often emotionally overwhelmed by the state of life on this planet, yet see the best in my fellow humans and find the bright side in almost any situation. My most life-changing job and most challenging communications role was in Bougainville in 2002, collecting weapons from ex-combatants as a member of the Peace Monitoring Group under the UN Bougainville Peace Agreement. For this I was awarded an ASM (Australian Service Medal) which technically makes me the highest-ranking Aussie in Iceland. (Come on, how could I NOT mention that?!) Born and raised in Australia, I've lived in Iceland since 2003 and now work for Controlant, helping to re-invent global pharma supply chains. I also serve on the local Committee for Environment and Transport (Umhverfis og samgöngunefnd Kópavogs).
