During my time at Saltillo, the company went from total reliance on overseas contractors to having a well structured and capable software engineering department that handled 90% of the total software development. Developed embedded Visual C and C++ applications for multiple operating systems across six different hardware platforms most of which shared the same codebase. Designed and integrated new software engineering practices using a mix of agile and traditional practices to meet the companies' expanding needs. Worked side by side with developers, both in house and contractors, writing code while maintaining a leadership role and making important decisions.
