At Quadax, I have worked on many projects in a large scale Healthcare billing application ranging from standard Javascript/Jquery UI work to backend processing code. In addition, I have been part of a small team developing an insurance remit (ANSI 835 document interpretation and processing) application from the ground up with C#, Angular 2, Sql Server, and MongoDB.Working at Quadax has given me many opportunities to work with new development tools and experience learning to use them on the job quickly for productive work.

The Software Craftsmanship Guild gave me the tools to become a professional software developer. While I taught myself programming syntax, in my time as an apprentice I have learned many invaluable skills and tools for the devlopment and completion of large projects. In particular, I was taught Java development using Junit, Maven, Spring, and MySQL as well as HTML/CSS and Javascript. But more important than the specific tools, I learned the basic methods behind all object-oriented programming, unit testing, front end development, and database design so I can effectively learn any technology needed for a project and implement it.

In my full time work I was responsible for keeping various sections of books stocked and organized, coming up with ideas for better organization, running the cash register, and purchasing merchandise from customers on behalf of the company. But beyond my basic duties, I was first and formost a customer service representative. At one time I identified a specific customer's needs and sold hundreds of back stock DVDs to him saving the company days worth of shelf time for that merchandise. I constantly learned about books, both new and old, so as to better make recommendations to buyers and fair offers to sellers of books.

Taught the basics of sailing and boating safety to young teens, and kept them safe and entertained while on shore.

In my time I digitized many parish records from paper to spreadsheet, sold gift cards and kept track of inventory and money, and helped parishinors each day with paperwork, questions, and connecting them with my colleagues in relevant departments.
