• Collaborate with prospective and existing customers to determine product needs, develop rough engineering design, and provide cost estimates and preliminary scheduling• Direct project managers including scheduling, design reviews, generating drawings for outsourcing, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, shipping, installation, and training• Coordinate resource allocation between projects to ensure projects stay on time and on budget• Design parts, generate drawings, and perform stress analysis using SolidWorks 3D CAD• Prototype and test high risk aspects of the design• Manage quality control for final products before delivery to customer• Visit customer locations to install, train, and perform maintenance on equipmentExamples of Specific Projects:• Temple Allen Industries produces semi-automated pneumatic equipment for surface preparation in the aerospace, defense, and marine markets.• Worked with the US Navy to develop a more ergonomic solution to remove non-skid surface from aircraft carrier decks and topsides of submarines• Designed end effectors for Boeing to abrade complex geometries on composite wing skins
