● Ensuring the day to day operations of the entire facility, including a fully functional foundry, a machine shop, as well as an office area, runs efficiently and effectively according to 5 S standards and Lean Manufacturing principles. ● Managing a team of seven employees. These duties included maintaining their schedules, providing each employee with constructive feedback including yearly performance evaluation. Specific attention was paid to ensuring that each employee fully understood the scope of an assigned project and making sure that as a team all necessary resources and tools needed to successfully accomplish tasks were organized and provided, including skill development, education and training opportunities. ● Participated in the design, promotion, rollout, and continuance of the current Preventative Maintenance program, including organizing work orders on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly schedule.● Consistently relied upon to troubleshoot and repair any area of the facility that required immediate attention.● In charge of moving and levelling machines so that space was utilized to the fullest as well as ensuring that productivity was not affected ● Actively participated in custom fabrication of foundry equipment and peripherals. Included, but not limited to, is the redesign and rebuilding of machinery such as B&P Continue-Matic Mold Transfer System, Ringmullor and Molding Systems, Kloster no-bake sand mixer, five gas furnaces, two electric furnaces, and two induction furnaces.● Repaired, maintained, and upgraded various pieces of equipment within the Machine Shop including CNC Mills and lathes and a wide variety of manual machining devices.●Advised senior management, supervisors, and employees aspects of installing and operating machines, including advantages and disadvantages and training programs required for machines to be operational.
